I wasn’t sure what to expect from Texas, but after only spending a quick 36 hours there I can confidently say that I absolutely have to go back soon.  Though I don’t know if any trip back can be as awesome as going there to photograph the wedding of my good friends Sarah and Justin.  It was the perfect small ceremony followed by tons of time for photos!  I’ll post more on all of this later, but here is a little sneaky peek of what’s to come!

Enjoy!

Given how crazy and irregular the weather has been over the past couple of months, it would seem appropriate that the wedding season opening day would include something epic.  Leaky-roof inducing rain during the ceremony, wind so strong it blew the limo around and gorgeous skies after the storm finally let up lead to one beautifully diverse wedding day.

Susan and Andy were the perfect couple for this kind of wedding day.  Even as the rain dripped down through the roof onto their marriage license they stayed calm and were ready to roll with whatever we had to do to work around the weather, a photographer could not ask for a better couple to work with.  I promised Susan a little preview of some of my favorite images from yesterday so she could have a peek before they leave for their honeymoon.  So, as promised, here is a sneak peek of Andy & Susan’s big day!

Well folks, it’s that time of the year again where people start going bananas over senior portraits so it seemed appropriate that I do a senior portraits post!  This is Caitlyn, we shot down in Northfield on a wonderfully warm fall day last year.  She did a fantastic job with her wardrobe which worked perfectly with the beautiful scenery in and around Northfield.

It would also seem appropriate to announce that I am currently looking for senior models!  If you are interested, please visit the information page on my website right here!  Please help spread the word!

As always, enjoy!!

As I so often do, I am going to apologize for the title of this one.

Way back in October I journeyed down to Georgia with Brandon and Erica, two amazing people that I was fortunate enough to get to work with for their southern wedding at The Carl House just outside of Atlanta (see, that’s where the title comes from).  It was a blast having a completely new environment to shoot in, an amazing bridal party, amazing family members and an absolutely beautiful location.

Enjoy!

I don’t think anyone was surprised when Petey & Kristie finally got engaged, they are one of those high school sweetheart couples whose relationship endured the college years.  These two have been my friends since high school, and while we didn’t see each other much during college I’m so happy that they asked me to photograph their wedding and we were able to reconnect for such an awesome occasion.

This is another little preview of their wedding.  I’ve got exciting things in the works!  I recently moved into a new office, which as exciting as it sounds was only an in house change.  I’m happy to say that I am no longer working out of a basement, but a spare bedroom!  It’s incredible what having a little bit of a light can do for morale while sitting in an office all day.  So as I finish things up with the switcharoo here I will be posting more images from past weddings and Petey and Kristie’s wedding.

Enjoy!

Once upon a time, there was a sad little blog that was never updated by its photographer.  Then one day he finally started updating it and all was well. The end.

Here are a few images from a fall engagement shoot with Andy & Megan, though it may be a season or two late I still love the fall colors and lighting and wanted to share!

Enjoy!

A couple of weeks ago I got out and snapped a few photos with my friend Joni.  It’s so refreshing being out shooting in the warm spring sun!  Here are two images for your viewing pleasure.

Also, expect to see tons of new images on my site coming within the next month!  I’m hoping to get caught up on blog posts as well as I have a backlog of too many weddings that have not yet been featured.

Merry Saturday!!

I thought it would be fun to do a quick post of some images from a two day journey up to the North Shore that I made this past week.  In addition to the usual stops, I even stopped off at Iona’s Beach to jump in the lake!  It was freezing, but refreshing!

Enjoy!

While working on finishing up on Megan & Jason’s wedding images, I couldn’t help but get excited and decide to post this little diptych.  These two, as you may have noticed from their engagement photos, are probably one of the cutest couples.  Listening to their story and everything they have been together really shows the amount of love that these two have for each other, and I can’t wait to see how great their future together will be!

enjoy!
