While working on finishing up on Megan & Jason’s wedding images, I couldn’t help but get excited and decide to post this little diptych. These two, as you may have noticed from their engagement photos, are probably one of the cutest couples. Listening to their story and everything they have been together really shows the amount of love that these two have for each other, and I can’t wait to see how great their future together will be!

I just realized that I name my blog posts the same way that Fall Out Boy used to name their songs, and for some reason that makes me sad. But on a much happier note… Whilst putzing around on Facebook today I saw an image from last fall that made me REALLY REALLY miss fall, and especially fall on the North Shore. So, in hopes of feeling a little warmer on this chilly day today I am going to do a revisit of Andy & Susan’s engagement shoot up in Duluth from September. If you’d like to see more images from this shoot, it was featured on A Northwoods Wedding Blog back in October so you can check it out there!

At long last, Minnesota finally blessed us with a snowy Saturday which was absolutely perfect for Mike & Justine’s wedding yesterday! What made this even better, was the willingness of Justine and Mike and the rest of the bridal party to go meander out into the storm to take advantage of the big snowflakes for their photos! I was too excited about these images to wait, so here is a small preview!!!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of joining Shari & Travis and their families in celebrating their wonderfully warm and beautiful wedding near Brainerd MN. On our way to the reception location from the ceremony we happened to drive by this huge open field, filled with nice glowy sunset light and after mentioning the idea these two were immediately on board and ready to go trample around in some tall grass, as well as watch me embarrass myself with crazy photographer moves (fortunately there are many different ways to crawl around in grassy fields, I ruin a lot of dress clothes!).
Here is a little preview of what we got! Have fun in Hawaii you two!!!!

To celebrate a year of amazing memories and a ton of fun shoots, I am going to be re-featuring some of my favorite images of 2011.
First on the list to be re-featured is one of my all time favorite projects, which was the winter look book shoot for The Pretty Penny Boutique. The Pretty Penny is a vintage repurposed jewelry boutique owned by my good friend Allie. She absolutely loves what she does and she rocks at it. After a year of art shows and online sales she is still working hard and is looking forward to an even better 2012. Keep an eye out for for images from our spring and fall look book shoots that will be featured soon!
Enjoy!

It is after 1am and instead of sleeping I’m up editing, as seems to be the norm these days! I’m excited to announce that I am nearly caught up on my work for the first time since I can’t even remember. This means it will be time for some very serious blogging!
There is one particular image from Brandon & Erica’s wedding that I’d like to share before doing a full post. It’s kind of an odd single frame to post, as it was an accident and it is not a clean image. But I think this may be one of the most honest images I’ve taken so far. More thoughts on this to come, right now it is feeling like it might be time for bed!
Enjoy!

For those of you who I am not in regular communication with, I have been spending the past week down in Austin MN house sitting for my grandpa while he is off enjoying the warm weather in Hawaii. This has been a really great opportunity to take some time to myself to finally get caught up on some work that has been accumulating over the past few months. So, there is quite a bit to blog in the next few weeks!! And I’m super excited to share some of the images from this past year that have yet to see the light of day on my blog or website. Along with a fantastic 2011, things keep looking brighter and brighter for 2012. Every week seems to bring a new exciting opportunity to work with some very in love and creative couples, and I can’t wait for next year!
I don’t want to get ahead of myself though. Before the end of this year, I am fortunate enough to be shooting Megan and Jason’s wedding. They are the first of the many brave couples that I will be working with on a winter wedding over the next two months. Luckily they are a very warm and friendly couple which should make the transition into winter weddings pretty smooth! I hope you will all join me in keeping your fingers crossed for snow though!
In the spirit of their wedding less than a week away, I wanted to share some of their engagement photos that we did on a chilly day back in the end of November. We planned it late in the month hopes of snow, however we had a ton of fun despite the lack of the white fluffy stuff.
Enjoy!
